So, you’re probably wondering who’s behind all this wine talk, right? Well, let me take you on a little trip down memory lane.
Since my days studying architecture at the AA School in London🇬🇧, the most comforting ritual after an arduous day was to pick up a bottle of wine from the markets like Sainsbury’s or Waitrose on my way home. 😌🍷
Now, my landlord at the time, Bill —a cool, retired professor👨🏻🦳 from the University of London—had this charming cottage in Southern England. And guess what? He loved to dabble in grape growing and winemaking right in his kitchen.
Hanging around Bill and getting a firsthand look at the winemaking process, It was like opening a door I never knew was there. Tasting his homemade wine didn’t just spark my interest; it lit a fire.🎉
That spark turned into a full-blown love affair with wine, a passion I was lucky enough to share with my soulmate, who was once a promising bartender and a kinda wine expert🍸🍷 in San Francisco while studying at Stanford.
We’ve spent countless vacations and, let’s be honest, a considerable amount of money in pursuit of those elusive perfect bottles of wine. 😂 The thrill of discovering a new favorite has always been a driving force behind my adventures.
Fueled by this unwavering passion for viticulture, I delved deeper into the world of wine, achieving the WSET and the French Wine Scholar Certificate. 🇫🇷 Fast forward to today, and I’ve managed to seamlessly integrate my love for wine with my professional life in architectural space marketing.
But let’s be real—it’s not just about buildings for me. Beyond the architecture, my true joy springs from an eclectic mix of personal passions. I revel in pairing my love for fine wines with my enthusiasm for gourmet cooking, always eager to experiment with new recipes that enhance the flavors of both the food and the wine. My insatiable curiosity drives me to continuously explore new knowledge, whether it’s about wine, culinary arts, or other subjects that pique my interest.
Writing about these experiences brings me immense satisfaction, as does spending quality time with my spirited, energetic Jack Russell Terrier, Winnie. Together, we make a happy trio, often exploring the great outdoors or simply enjoying the comfort of our home.
